Hello @Pelham123,

Welcome to the EE Community

Is this a watch you got on contract with us directly or is this a watch you have purchased elsewhere?

If you got the watch on contract with us, the contract would come with a data plan and would not require purchasing one.

If the watch was purchased elsewhere you would need to be on one of our new Essential Plus, All Rounder or Full Works plans which launched on 29th August and then you would get a free data plan for the watch included. Any other mobile plans would need the £7 data plan.

If you have bought the watch indirectly and are on one of the eligible plans, you would still see the plan as £7 a month when buying during the mobile data setup, and this would then be discounted 24-48 hours after setup. You would get a message confirming when it has been applied.

Hi Alex. It was purchased from CEX.

I am on this tariff

  • All Rounder SIM 125GB £25 T

  • £25.00 Monthly

When I added my watch, I got this page, explaining it all.

So as long as you are on a plan with a free watch plan, it will be discounted within 24 hours. It actually took 30 hours for me to get the text, but it now shows on my account as a 100% watch SIM discount add-on.

@Pelham123 Was your All Rounder plan taken recently, after 29th August? As it is only the new All Rounder plans that come with the free watch data included. All Rounder plans before then did not have it included.

Alex

typical lucky me....

no 12th august!!!

@Pelham123 Ah that is bad timing, it may be possible to do an in life plan change to move up to one of the new all rounder plans by giving us a call or messaging us via the app, potentially it could work out cheaper then your current plan plus the £7 watch plan.

Though the inclusive extras on the new plans have changed also so that would be worth taking into consideration. You can see the options each plan version gets on our page here clicking See our full range of inclusive extras Inclusive Extras on EE | Choose your entertainment pack

@Chris101263  A search for error 012 suggests other people have had multiple accounts with EE. Have you been a customer before? Maybe ask EE to ensure all previous accounts are deleted, but call back, ask them to escalate, at some point you'll get it fixed!

Yes I’ve been with EE for 20 odd years,

I do have my daughter on my account as well, EE escalated it but still nothing, I must say I’m really disappointed
