Using a new esim when I currently have a sim

I have a pixel 4XL with a plastic sim and I have a new work phone which is the pixel 7 pro that only has an esim.

How do I take my pay as you go SIM and switch it to my new esim phone?

Pay as you go SIM card cannot be switched to an esim, sorry.
