SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK.

I have the issue as shown in the subject.

I am giving my EE S8 to my daughter who has an ID contract.

I have tried unlocking the phone using the IMEI route, but it is not working.

I even got a PUK code for the SIM, and this hasn't done anything.

Has anyone got any ideas?

@jlazell29  ID mobile can not unlock the device that has to be EE.   The PUK is for the ID SIM card if the wrong sim pin has been entered too many times.    The device needs to be unlocked from EE so you can use the ID mobile sim in it.   You need to speak with EE customer support to request the device to be unlocked,  you’ll receive a code that you type in the the dial keypad and this will unlock the device to use any network SIM card.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@jlazell29  A PUK is to unlock a sim when the wrong sim pin has been entered to many times it doesn’t unlock a phone to be used on a different network .    If the online unlocking request form isn’t working for you you need to call customer support for help with this.

I have already contacted ID to get a SIM PUK. They have given me a code, this doesn't work either.

Hey @jlazell29.

Welcome to the EE Community 😊

As @Chris_B has pointed out here, the SIM PUK code has no relevance to the code required to unlock phones to all networks.

If you fill out our online form here though, you we should be able to get this sorted for you free of charge.

Peter

I have already tried the EE code to unlock the phone. I used the website to enter the IMEI code and get the code. It didn't work.

Hi @jlazell29,

Welcome to the Community!

What happened when you entered the code on the form @Peter_W has mentioned? Did you see an error?
