Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear you lost your phone :(. I imagine it must suck. The good news is, if you were signed into your Samsung or Google account, you can recover most of your data. including apps & photos. Here's what you can do:

  • Photos:

    • If you used Google Photos, go to photos.google.com and sign in — your photos should be backed up there.
    • If you used Samsung Cloud, log in at samsung.com to check for backups.
  • Apps:

    • Sign into your Google account on a new Android device.
    • Open the Play Store, go to My apps & games, and you’ll see a list of previously installed apps you can reinstall.
  • Other Data:

    • If you had Samsung Smart Switch or Google One Backup enabled, you can restore contacts, messages, and settings when setting up a new phone. This allows you to restore contacts, messages, photos, Wi-Fi network information etc. This will prompt you via setup.
  • Security Tip:

    • Use Find My Mobile or Find My Device to remotely lock or erase your lost phone if needed and if possible able to find/track where your old phone is.

If your phone is under contract with EE call 150 from any EE phone or 07973 100 150 or view other contact options through: Contact Us | Help & Support | EE. They can:

  • Suspend/block your current SIM
  • Order a replacement SIM (allowing you to still use the same phone number)
  • Advise on claiming on insurance (if your plan has phone cover)
  • Discuss upgrade options or replacement plans if needed.

Hope this helps 🙂

Hi there, I’m really sorry to hear you’ve lost your Samsung, that’s such a pain. If you were signed into your Google or Samsung account, there’s a good chance you can get most of your stuff back.

Here’s what you can try:

  • Photos: Check Google Photos — if backups were on, your pictures should be there. If you used Samsung Cloud, you can log in at samsung.com to see if anything was saved there.

  • Apps: Once you sign into your Google account on a new phone, go to the Play Store → My apps & games → Library. You’ll see a list of apps you’ve used before and can reinstall them easily.

  • Security: You can use Find My Mobile or Find My Device to try locating your phone, or even lock or erase it remotely if needed.

  • If it’s on an EE contract: Definitely give EE a call on 150 from an EE phone or 07973 100 150 from any other phone. They can suspend your SIM so no one else can use it, help you get a replacement SIM, and walk you through insurance claims if you had cover. They might also be able to offer an early upgrade or replacement options.

Only if you had backed-them somewhere. It is not sufficient just to be signed into your Samsung or Google account; you must have elected to use their backup/cloud.
