My number is wrong on my sim card.

On my Google Pixel phone. If I go into settings to view my device details it shows my phone number attached to the sim as a completely different number to what I have been using for years. 

If someone rings the number stated in my settings it doesn't ring my phone and just rings out. I always get calls from random people as well as messages/Whatsapp. 

 

Any way I can change this and does anyone know the reasons why this would be incorrect. 

Pixel 6 and have been on EE for about 10 years now.

Welcome to the EE Community!

When you first started using this SIM card, did it have a temporary number linked with it before you brought your own number from a different network?

If you check your contacts too, can you find any contact details, either for yourself or someone else, with this number linked to it?

If you can, can you try changing this to the correct number?
