My number is appearing in a foreign format, its format is now XXX-XXX-XXXXX

In the About Phone section the number
For some reason it now appears in what I imagine is an American format.
Could there be any reason for this?

Which phone? It's probably American.

I recently had a network refresh done with help of EE and this solved a
previous problem but now its using dashes in the format like an american
number would

The phone number was reading as a standard UK format until this issue arose

I'm not sure what may have caused this to happen.
A factory reset would be the next thing I'd suggest.
