I am unable to add more numbers to my contact list

I have a Alcatel 1 2021 phone and am unable to add new numbers to my contacts list.

Wnen I start typing a number a red no entry type of sign appears.

You need to save contacts to your Google account not your SIM.

@speld1  Try deleting an a contact and then see if you can re-add that same contact.
