Galaxys23FE - music automatically playing on the phone

Please help! After i've been listening to music through my bluetooth headphones, even if I close down the relevant app (radio, podcast etc) music will then start playing on the phone. Its usually the last thing that was playing on Spotify, rather than the app i was listening to on my headphones (embarrassing when its my daughter's tunes!)  I can't work out how to stop it happening.

Does anyone know what's going on and how to stop it?

Welcome to the community,

Just shutting down the app does not stop the music, then I would click on the app you are using for music and click stop to stop the music and see if that solves the problem. I do not have Spotify, but that is all I can suggest and hope that resolves your problem.

That doesn't seem to do it - and its not Spotify-specific either. Even when no other app is open, and i've shut the one i'm listening on, music starts playing!
