Hello, I need some help please, just put in a new sim on my current phone P30 pro.
Done all the set up no problems. But I am messaging some one who doesn't have smart phone and it's the only person I don't use Internet text for and it won't let me send.
ERROR 28 over and over again, I've updated, I've restarted, I've verified number. I've done the *#*#4636#*#* thing as googled BUT as soon as that typed in nothing happens.
I need contact with this person at all times (medical reason). So any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi thank you for you help, mine does not say message centre number anywhere. Not even in settings. It's why I'm so confused.
It says phone number but no message centre number. I've cleared cache and everything else but still same thing happens.
Have cropped my phone number off, forgive me because I am not techy but no where on the message app, settings, or Gmail settings shows message centre number. 😬😬

Thanks for getting back to us @AnneMarie8.
SMS centre number can usually be found in the Advanced Settings which you have print screened.
If you tap SIM card messages does anything show?

Unfortunately it shows nothing. I have also just realised I can not call either. I also have already purchased a pack 10am and have the receipts for so I am so confused.

What does texting AL to 150 from your no. fully report verbatim (it is free)?

Some of us should stick to 3310's, turns out isn't a phone problem as a much as it is a muppet problem. I did pay the pack, unfortunately the one that sends a new sim as well.
Henry at EE has sorted a pack for me, my phone works, and the new sim coming with pre paid pack will just sit in the cuboard for the next however long.
Please spare us weirdos a thought for lack of tech knowledge and lack of ability to process simple instructions as the day started with inserting an upside down sim card and no coffee slowly leading into confusion, panic and feeling useless 😂
Thank you all sincerely who helped today. No idea how to delete or close threads so I won't even attempt it.
Happy 2024 everyone and hopefully you won't hear from me again as I should not have to change number for another 10 year 😂😂😂😂😂
