EE mobile warranty repairs, factory resetting phone

Hi, I have a s23 ultra that has developed a charging port fault. Samsung warranty are offering for one of the EE stores to carry out the repair. My question is must the phone be completely factory reset with all the data wiped before EE will touch the phone to repair ?

Factory resetting the phone will just be a massive inconvenience for myself and I'd rather they just fix it with my data on the phone. Will they even touch the phone without it being factory reset ?

Thanks

Retail shops will not normally accept a phone for repair, without you accepting the potential loss of data, and signing to say that you have a full backup.

@Buklau  Just do a backup and then you have nothing to worry about as you can then restore from that backup.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

And even if you hope the repair doesn't need to do a factory reset, do you really want to risk the loss of all the data on the device by not having a full backup?

Hence the reason for needing to sign to say so.
