Cant connect to FTP via hotspot with EE Data but works with hotspot via wifi

If i try and connect my camera to my phone via The hotspot whilst using my data, it wont get a connection.

If i connect to the hotspot whilst connected to a wifi (BT) source, it does connect.

HELPPP!!!

I am having a similar issue, but in regards to hotspotting from my phone to my camera. It wont connect if im using the ee data, but it will connect if connect to wifi and then hotspot.

HELP!!

Can you check your EE app/online for content lock status. I believe this maybe your issue.

@JoeMaher : That's not fixed Home BB.

Where does FTP come into it? Are you running an FTP client on your phone & an FTP server on the camera? How are the phone & the camera connected?

So my camera connects to my phone via the hotspot and from the camera, I connect to an ftp where I can automatically send photos from the camera to the ftp server.

All works if I connect to my home WiFi (bt) , all works if my phone is connected to my home WiFi and I hotspot my phone, but doesn't work if I hotspot my phone just using the phones data.

Just so I get this right, the camera connects by WiFi to the hotspot on your phone & uses its data to send photos to a remote FTP server?

Does the camera connect to the phone? Is it the photos that are failing to send? 

If so, do you get an error message?

From what I've learned from other photographers who need to wire pictures over ftp but now can't using ee, it's all down to ee changing some IPv6-IPv4 protocols that create an error when trying to connect. Some more tech minded have managed a work around but it seems most are just going to another network as its easier
