Can EE unlock a phone supplied by BT mobile?

Hi there,

A few years ago I had a BT mobile supplied Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I switched to EE when it's contract was up and completely forgot about the Mate 20 Pro as I got a new phone at the time of moving to EE.

How can I get the Mate 20 Pro unlocked?

if bought after December 2021 it should be unlocked, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-54692179 .

Try putting your existing SIM in it.

@carguy143  You can ask BT for the unlock code.     EE have no record of that device on their system as it was a BT supplied device.

Thanks, sadly it pre dates the rule changes. It did work with an EE SIM, but not SIM cards from another network.
