Bluetooth advice needed

Hello, I have started to use an app called 'LibreLink' on my android phone, it activates alerts on my phone when my glucose levels are low/high (I'm a diabetic) via Bluetooth; however, now that I have to have Bluetooth activated on my phone to receive these alerts, I think it may be causing interference on all my calls which I make via wifi calling (I have to use this at home due to on-going mast issues where I live). Would I be correct that Bluetooth is causng the interference/slight loss of sound, and is there anything I can do to help this problem please?

Many thanks, Nicola

Hi @Nicola47

Thanks for coming here.

Do you have the same loss of sound if you turn Bluetooth off and make a call?

Thanks.

Leanne 🙂

Hi Leanne, yes it is better, obviously I can do this when I make a call, but I am using my phone quite a lot during the day for my job, receiving calls as well as making them, so I wondered if there is a way around this problem. The point of using this diabetic app is that I do not disconnect Bluetooth and therefore the alarms at all.

Wanted to mention I tried calling the customer service tele number last night (7 ish) to ask the same question and waited 50 minutes with no reply so gave up.

Hi @Nicola47,

Have you tried changing the WiFi channel your router is using?

James

Hi James, I haven't no, I'm scared to do this as I work from home and don't want to 'up set' anything, I went into my local EE shop today to go through my issues and the guy there said he's never heard of Bluetooth affecting wifi before but it obviously is.

Does anyone know if my issue with Bluetooth/Wifi would be resolved if I had my diabetic device using Bluetooth on a separate device in my home and not actually on my phone (via an app)?

Hi @Nicola47

Thanks for coming back to us.

If you give us a call on 150 the team will get this looked into for you by running through some troubleshooting to see why this is happening.

If WiFi calling works when you disable the app on your phone, this should work if this was on another device.

Leanne 🙂
