What is wrong with the EE Entertainment package HD programs?

I cannot get any of the Sky HD channels that are included in my contract. What is going on. I can cancel from tomorrow. Totally fed up with EE so far.

Four times the data, less any saving from superior compression.

Maybe also a small saving from only having to downscale what is almost certainly a UHD original signal, in many cases, by 4 times, instead of the 16 times bust-down it needs going all the way to SD 😛

As one of the most common gripes for many years, you'd have to assume that there's a really good reason why we don't just give everyone HD as standard.  Decisions like that are way above me.

@Midnight_Voice depends on the content - those with a sport package are 3 times more likely to add the HD add-on compared to entertainment subscribers, but still only around a 3rd of sport subscribers add it.

@DarrenDev

So the push for UHD is a mere 10% of Entertainment subscribers?

Reminds me of when one of our sons, much derided at school for our Betamax, brought some friends home to watch it. We had to go round closing jaws that kept falling open in astonishment.

But I don’t think any of their parents ever went out and bought one. Much less even swapped composite for SCART…

Good Morning Darren,

I’ve read your replies and you seem to be a helpful person, could I please email you my queries regarding my package also?

Many Thanks,

Craig

Hi,

I am not a very tech guy, but if I can help I will do.

I found that if I posted quite a blunt question/criticism on EEs FB
page, it sure got attention.

Luckily my system seems to work OK now.

DB.

Good morning and thanks for the response, I do appreciate it.

I have EETV and the Sky channels. I have also just activated the TNT subscription with the TV package I purchased. TNT however will only be accessible through the Discovery+ app.

I am now debating activating HD but am not sure if this will cover TNT sports as I cannot access this through EETV like I thought I would be able to do so.

They sure like to confuse everyone, they do not make it easy to
understand.

I spent hours & hours on the telephone with them being pushed from dept
to dept, only to eventually finding out I had been provided with the
wrong package in the first place.

I am now on the 'Big Sport' package and HD, this gives me Eurosport 1&2,
all TNT & EE & Sky sport channels, but not Discovery 1&2.

I pay £45 for my sport package.

You need to speak on the phone and ask them to check your package and
swap over to 'Big Sport' if you are not on it. Otherwise, post a blunt
message on EE's FB page.

Good luck.

DB.
