Volume on my BT TV box doesn't sound as loud compared to my DVD Player or the TV

I've got the old BT TV Pro boxes. The BT remote controls the TV volume and the volume is the same whether using the remote that came with the TV or the BT remote.

However, the volume is noticeably louder when using my DVD player or when I turn the TV back to its built in Freeview version. Is there a way to increase the volume of the BT box as I have to have the number quite high despite the sound not being that loud.

If you click on the home button on your remote, go to settings on the bottom left hand side and then picture and sound, it may be set to steel under hdmi sound and you can change that to surround as most TVs have Dolby audio built in as standard now.
