Talking Pictures TV

I am dismayed to find that TPTV isn't available on EE/BT TV, although it is on Virgin, SkyFreeview and Freesat. Are there any plans to make this popular channel available?

I'm not sure about talking pictures as I am not sure if they are on other competitors IP services, but the Great! Channels definitely are, so would be good to see them at some point.

Since BT started IP channels there hasn't been much added to the list unlike competitors where there are regularly additions.

You will probably need to switch your TV to Freeview as and when required for Apple TV and mini boxes, or if its the BT TV Pro, you would need to reset it to factory settings with an arieal plugged in to change it to arieal mode.

I agree!  It would be great to see Talking Pictures on EE.  It's annoying to have to keep switching platform.

Hi

I have a solution, as I have discovered that TPTV is not available, when EE told me it was !

If you go on the TPTV website and sign up, you can view most of TPTVs content there.  If you want to see it on your TV screen just plug your laptop into the TV and view it there.  Be aware though that some of the content on TPTVs website is sometimes only available for 1 week.  So, for instance, if you want to see the latest viewing of The Saint, then make sure you watch it within a week of its airing on TV.

Good luck. Bee

Talking pictures are working to make an IP version of their channel and that's TV are doing the same for Sky stream.

However it remains to be seen if they were then added to EE, as the high pay wall was always an issue for the U channels for example, and it seems to be more feasible for those in theory as they are now on Freely.

Absolutely disgusted with BT and EE. I was promised that the changeover to EE would still allow me to use Talking Pictures.

You can have your box of trash back. Next stop will be to someone who cares for the customer and not limit what freeview channels you can use.

Promises broken again - totally useless company.

Talking Pictures TV is available on the TV Box Pro if you have a TV aerial and your box is in aerial mode. It's not available in IP mode, so not available on the TV Box Mini.

If you have Apple TV or a smart TV running Android or Fire OS, you can also download theTPTV Encore app.

Not what I was told when I foolishly believed the EE employer on your call centre. He said it was one of his favoured channels!

You are obviously not someone who cares at all about the needs of people who use that channel in preference to the US choices you are forcing us toward. Netflix etc for me not worth anything.

Not surprised tech people don't give a damn. They haven't done any research of favoured channels. Talking Pictures is a great UK success, that you want to deny.

Obviously no plans at all. They just want us to forget about it and go away.

It's not about "caring about the needs of people" - we can't just add their channel to our service. A commercial agreement needs to be made with the owners of that channel, the same as every other channel.

Some channels want to be part of EE TV, and some don't. That's their choice.
