I decided to end my EE TV package after the 24 month contract was coming to an end, simply because my viewing habits have changed and it is no longer necessary. I made sure to contact EE and inform them that I wanted to stop the TV Package, and this was within the last month before it was due to end anyway. So even after it ended, I still had lime a few days I would be culpable for in fees.
Now let me stress this process began in late June / early July, and experienced some complications because of EE's stupid system rules that halt all the breakers as soon as you make any changes to your plan's (removing / ending / swapping) but not adding though. I removed my landline in late June, and stupidly realised that the reason I had it in the first place was because mobile signal in my flat can just drop out with no warning at all.. so it was a useful backup. After removing it I then realised that I wanted it back, but that I wanted to end my TV contract. See where I'm going here...
It finally seemed that all the dots were/are falling into line, when I happen to check my bill for this month and..... Everything looks good.... But **bleep** ... TV & Entertainment: Regular Charges from 17/08/26 - 26/08/26 of £7.10
What the hell???
And I still have their box & hdmi lead in a box ready to send back... But to where? My nearest EE shop wouldn't take it..?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

@Scombes you called on June 6th to cancel entertainment with 30 days notice - it would have ceased on July 6th.
You called again July 4th to urgently add phone service back. As you were told at the time, the system will only allow 1 order at a time - so the previous cancellation had to be cancelled.
The new order to add voice back on the account should ALSO have included the cancellation (which would have then extended it to August 4th), however that wasn't done. Instead, it was only cancelled when you phoned again on July 27th - which is why you've been charged until August 27th.
This is clearly our mistake, and I can only apologise.
Unfortunately this isn't something I can fix for you - you'll need to call the helpdesk again, and ask for a credit of the Entertainment subscription from July 6th until August 26th. The system clearly shows it's our error, so there shouldn't be any issue with them processing it.

What does this mean anyway? When exactly was it due to end anyway? When exactly did you give your 30-days notice to cancel EE TV (please don't complicate matters by involving your landline)?
You have only been charged for 10 days ending on 26 Aug correctly pro rata as if the contract ended on that date & you gave your notice on 27 July.

Hello, and thank you for a timely response.
My TV contract was to end on 16th June 2026. Give or take a day or two either side of that date because that's when I found out that it doesn't just end, you then have to inform EE on how back of which it takes yet another 28 days to end: for which I'm not using it and yet still having to be paying for it.
So let's take worst case scenario (2 days), which would take it from the 18th June up until the 16th July (which makes sense now I'm thinking about it cuz it was a say before my birthday which was on the 17th July).
So why is it that I'm paying anything after the 16th July...?
I brought up the issue if re-adding my landline because when this block / closure / call it what you want / was on my account it was preventing me from re-adding my landline. And getting my landline back was a pretty urgent time sensitive issue for me because my clients were struggling to reach me by my mobile network: and that's despite having WiFi calling enabled. In fact he only way around it, and I have no idea how/why it does it but WhatsApp is a pure constant uninterrupted connection 24/7... but not everyone uses it...

Lots of words but you don't actually state dates that orders were placed. Why do people just moan & leave out important info?
