Continued my BT/EE/TNT sports contract for another 2 years in Oct '24 on the strength of the sports content. Since then, via Discovery+, Eurosport 1 and 2 have disappeared, Rugby Union main trophy tournaments have gone and no longer "all Champions League games" shown- 2 main games lost to Amazon Prime.
I feel cheated and would like to dump the sports package as it feels like a serious drop in value.
Most of the assorted sports shown are of little interest to me.
Concerned about possible penalties since I am only 6 months in but possible breach of contract by reducing "promised" availability?
Anyone got advice or will I just have to "chew it and swallow"?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Contractually EE TV is defined as a variable TV service and features the below statement in the terms and conditions document:
"EE TV is a variable TV service. This means the content you get may change from time to time. We can't guarantee that EE TV will be able to show, or keep showing, any particular content (like a particular channel or programme). We may change, replace or withdraw any of the channels, TV packages, extras, content, service features or third-party services. For example, we might buy a channel from a third party who no longer wants to sell it to us in the future."
The full T&Cs are reflected here: https://ee.co.uk/help/terms-and-conditions/tv/ee-tv
You can however submit a complaint here if you would like: https://ee.co.uk/help/contact-ee/complaint/complaint-form

In my detail above, I forgot to make it clear this includes my main broadband and TV box facility.

@mrstiggywnkle I'd think you'd have more of a point on 2 points. 1) If the eurosport content had disappeared completely, it was well documented that it has been aligned in with TNT sports so it is still there. 2) In Oct 24 the 1 champions league game per week was already on amazon & the rugby changes had already taken effect too, so in effect there's been no changes on either point since Oct 24 when you renewed

Hello garybs29. Thanks for your interest. My contract began 05/10/24. As for Champions League, it clearly says in my contract paperwork "every match of the Champions League".
I am not sure how to confirm your other item on rugby union but I do not re-call that TNT sports would lose the senior cup tournaments being mentioned.
As for 1 Champions League per week on Amazon, we are not Amazon Prime subscribers so did not know until recently.
I suspect I will just have to stick with the existing sports package although the frustration is that EE are not the most competitive and in hindsight, I might have been able to put a better bundle together.

TNT previously held both the English Premiership & European Rugby rights, and bid for the European renewal - but EPCR (the governing body) made a hash of their offer and TNT walked away.
They have since bid for and won the autumn-international rights, and show every sign of retaining the Premiership rights. Amazon don't have 2main games, they just have first pick of Tuesday... although my interest in football stops there. All of Eurosport's content has moved to TNT, although there is increasing use of red-button/online-only when their 4 broadcast channels overspill.
WBD certainly have some cost-cutting going on, but none of this feels like rugby's "main trophy tournaments" being lost. Some in rugby circles would argue that the (far from universally popular) current TV deal for European rugby, is symptomatic of a once-great tournament, not having its finest times.

Thanks to the Community subscribers who took the time and trouble to respond.
The info makes it clear that I can do nothing now without it costing megabucks.
It is frustrating to have to pay more and get what is a lesser service.
Seems to be life at this time!!!!!

Independent of the content of TNT Sports [and in common with other channels, their sports do change, they gain the FA Cup next season for example, but have lost their boxing], unless there is a specific contractual reason aren't you allowed to change the TV package with a month's notice? You have to keep the basic channels and pay for that over the contractual length, but, for example, my EE TV contract is for 24 months, but it also states:
"If you'd like to upgrade, you can do it whenever you want during your contract term. After the first 30 days, you can downgrade, but you can only do that once a month. No changes can be made to your package in the final three months of your contract term."

@mrstiggywnkle You may have rights under section 25b of the T&Cs that @Matt_124 has referred to you.
