I believe HBO Max allow the TNT Sports 1 to 4 as live channels streams to be selected in the app, The other extra part time TNT Sports channels (5 to 10 and Ultimate) are not selectable by channel on the (HBO Max App).
All their live event TNT sports streams are selectable by event in the app- at times they can be difficult to find. Normally any UHD sport stream is a second event stream to the up to HD stream , if they remember they put a small UHD symbol in the middle of the event image. )
As to why the UEFA Super Cup was initially promoted/scheduled as being available on TNT Sport Ultimate yet only a HD stream (TNT Sports 1) and no UHD stream provided can only be answered by those involved in the broadcasts/scheduling.
Personally I am not aware of a UHD feed being provided by the Host Broadcaster., the specs I saw listed were
"the UEFA Super Cup 2026 will be produced in 1080p50-HDR HLG colour space. Feeds will be available in 1080p50-HDR and 1080p50-SDR including Dolby surround sound and Dolby Atmos Immersive audio for both feeds.
The delivery of the 1080p50-SDR feed will be achieved using LUT (NBCU) colour mapping from the 1080p50-HDR feed.
All vision control and colour matching will be done as for a HDR delivery."
Schedule errors do occur from time to time.
