So I need two different accounts!

I have TNT Sports as a mobile add on, and I want to subscribe to Premium HBO Max, as far as I can tell, I can't add (pay extra) via EE and I can't do that directly through HBO Max, because it knows I'm "billed" though EE.

So I need one account for watching the sports and other account HBO Max content. What a mess.

Hi @mh_ldn

This is the info that I got from Darren.

The latest update from HBO is that they’re working their way through all the affected accounts – 70% of accounts have now been corrected, and they’re working their way through the rest.  They’ve assured us that no-one will have any additional payments taken, regardless of what the app says.

We’re unable to check for ourselves if yours is one of the affected accounts.  Could you please let me know if your subscription is now showing correctly?

If I don’t hear from you, I’ll provide a further update when HBO confirm that all accounts are now fixed.

Barry 🙂

Yes, that's the same email I received as well, replied saying my account was still the same. I suppose we just need to hang on until we receive something further on from that.

Hi @mh_ldn

I got impatient waiting for HBO Max to come back to EE etc. I spoke with HBO, they deleted my HBO Max Account.

I signed up to a new HBO Max Account with my email used for TNT Sports. I then had to speak to EE to reactivate my TNT Sports Account. I went through that process etc

Long story short, I now have HBO/TNT Sports content all under the same email address.

I can’t seem to add my screenshot in this post 😞

Barry 🙂

@BarryMcKelvey glad you got there in the end, and that HBO have finally started being helpful.

Thanks @BarryMcKelvey I think I'm going to do the same, wanted to get it all sorted before all the sport came back. Did you just use the contact us option from their site?

Hi @DarrenDev

Thanks 🙂 Sometimes dealing with HBO was like pulling teeth. I’m glad I’d stayed persistent until I spoke with the right person 🙂

Thanks for your helping us also.

Thanks

Barry 🙂

Hi @mh_ldn

Yes, that’s how I done it. Just be aware, sometimes the chat disconnects. It happened to me a few times. Good luck, I hope that you get it sorted.

Thanks

Barry 🙂

I gave up in the end, I've been trying to over an hour. The HBO Max people just keep on telling me that I need to speak to EE. I even pasted in the permalink to your post.

I did see that someone created a new HBO Max account and got EE to move TNT Sports on to that email address / account. So I'm just trying to get through to EE now, so see if they can do that.

Replying to myself!

Solution has been found - Create a new HBO Max account, with a new email address, subscribe to which ever package you want. The contact EE Mobile Technical Support and ask them to unpair your TNT Sports account and then they will send you a link to pair your account to the new HBO Max account you have just registered.

All working now under one account.
