New IT home Tech department

Has anyone heard of New IT home Tech department, Ive made a few changes to my mobile contracts lately and at the end of the call,  the adviser has tried to sell me extra gadgets, which I don't need. They asked if there was anything else and I explained Im still waiting on EE to offer TV to me on my 1.6gb package. A bit puzzled at first, she needed to check. She came back and said I need to speak to this department and they can do it. She could not transfer me as they were closed ( after 5pm) but said to use the link in the message she will send to get a call back the next day. However 2 guides I have spoken with since have no idea this department exists and just keep putting me through to TV sales. Is someone is confused or just fobbing me off?

@johnels791

You would be far better starting a new topic than replying here and asking a question on a totally different topic.

Sounds like they may have been referring to the Next Gen team as they handle BB queries for those on 1.6Gb plans. This operates on "New IT", in the sense that it is a separate system to the other broadband plans so perhaps that is where that name comes from.

However I'm unsure what they can do for you if the order path isn't available. I would be inclined to believe the first part of their statement (that you need to speak to that department), but not the part where they stated that they can do it.

Likely the Next Gen team would have told you the same thing you've been told before.

Never rely on somebody who is ‘a bit puzzled’.

It’s bad enough dealing with the ones who are confident, and wrong 😛
