Motor Impairment (Disability) / EETV

Good morning,

Firstly I'm really sorry to ask some of this so publicly but I've been trying for weeks (calls to guides, letters to 'CEO' etc) to get someone to speak to me. I've either had 'we'll call you back' (still waiting) or the request is still on someone's desk. Either way, with possible 'winter sale savings'  announced by an email this morning I really need to understand options before any promotional prices are announced.

Due to various medical conditions I have a disability with prevents me from holding and interacting with things using a remote control, and due to the layout of my bedroom/treatment/living room I can't place a TV where there is an antenna/satellite point so I've been eagerly waiting for an internet-based solution that doesn't use remotes.

Does the BT supplied Apple 4K TV device work with Apple Switch Control, either via an iPhone, or directly?  I know a regular one does (it's what I use right now to access streaming apps) but need to know if it exists on the EE supplied one.

Thank you for your time on this.

A very good question @DJWheelz !

It's a regular Apple TV, but comes with a custom remote to access some features quicker. It does work with a normal Apple TV remote though, so should fully function with Apple Switch Control too.

I'll get the team to test it as best we can, however I'll also give you a guarantee that you'll be able to access all the features you need or we will cancel and refund your package - we're not going to hold you to a service today you can't use. Please email me at tv.apps@bt.com if you need any further help with this, or have specific tests you'd like us to perform before you order.

Thanks @DarrenDev

I'll email you some specifics shortly, but as you say 'proof of the festive pudding is in the eating'. At least your response has given me hope.

Thank you again for your time.
