Little white dot

Sorry to resurrect this, but has something changed with the watermarking recently?

I’m still new to EE but Tonight I’ve noticed the small white circle/dot watermark on Sky One, Sky Sci-Fi and Sky Atlantic when watching the integrated channels through my EE TV box.

I don’t recall it being present previously. Interestingly, if I switch to the NOW app on the same EE box and watch Sky Atlantic live, the watermark isn’t there.

I saw a previous post saying the watermark had been removed from most entertainment channels following discussions with Sky. Has there been a recent change, or is this possibly a fault?

thanks.

Confirmed - it's only enabled on channels that Sky require us to have it on (their premium content).  Nothing has been changed.

Thanks for the notification @AsaintUK - the team are investigating.  You're right that it was removed before, but they're checking whether anything has contractually changed to require it to be added again, or if it's just a configuration error.

Its on some of the Sky channels its an anti piracy measure to combat uploading of the content to the internet its on some sky channels but not the movie channels, its also a licensing watermark on the EE guide sky channels , you wont see it on the Now app as Now is owned by Sky.

Check the Ai answer it will explain it all nothing is broken.
