My EE remote will not connect to the TV.

I've done the home+7 and +9 option.

I've reset everything, unplugged everything.

It's set up for TV and not Top Box.

I can't control TV volume or change TV input source

Is your TV Box connected directly to your TV with the HDMI cable provided? Looking at our logs, it appears the TV Box isn't receiving the required information.

Do I genuinely need to use your hdmi cable? Only reason I've not it cause the current one is hidden in the wall and it will be a pain to feed through a new hidden cable.

You don't need to use the cable provided, but it's certified to work correctly, so it's a good way to confirm whether the cable is the issue. The cable you're using doesn't appear to be providing the required information.

Would you be able to use the cable temporarily? Just long enough to reset the remote, and for the box to work out what the TV is.

Hello, I've put the purple cable in instead and still got the same issue, the remote controls the set box volume but not TV volume.

I can go up and down TV channels as per EE box but no control over actual TV volume or changing the TV source

After connecting the HDMI cable, have you then tried resetting the remote control?

Once done, check the Settings on the TV Box - confirm that it shows the remote control as paired, and make sure it's configured to control the TV.

EE cable is in, turned the system off for 10mins.

Reset the remote and still nothing.

Can only change channels and the EE box volume. 😞

What's next?

Are you able to check the other points I mentioned please?

In the TV Box, at the bottom of the left hand menu, select Settings.

Scroll down that screen and select Bluetooth Remote.

At the top of that screen, confirm it says it's connected, and that it's configured to control the TV, not Set Top Box.
