EE TV using own router or extender

Hi.

Apologies if this is in the wrong section or has been asked before.

I’ve just ordered EE TV with fibre broadband and have had a thought. Currently have ADSL with sky and use a mesh setup to extend the WiFi to the back of the house. With EE TV does the box need to be connected to the hub that will be provided or can you use third party routers? If not, can third party mesh networks work such as deco x50? I’m reluctant to use powerline as for some reason they are temperamental in this house.

Thanks

Should probably add that as long as the hub can handle the network then I’m happy to continue using that. I’m more bothered about the WiFi and using my own setup for that

It's a very common question - it depends on the the equipment you plan to use.  Anything not provided by BT/EE may work, but won't be supported.

You could alternatively choose to subscribe to Smart Wifi Plus, where mesh wifi extenders will be provided and fully supported.
