BT/EE and NowTV Boost

RedArkady

I want to upgrade my NowTV Boost to the new 4k ultra Boost. I have a 4k FireTV stick that should allow this for on-demand content.

My NowTV is billed via BT, but BT send me to the NowTV website to manage my account. But when it try to change it on the NowTV website it sends me to the EE website... but I'm not an EE customer! Anyone experienced this? At the moment there seems to be no way of managing my EE TV options...

Whether you're BT or EE billed, I'm afraid there's currently no way to add Ultra Boost - it's not currently available on EE TV accounts.  We're working hard to offer it as soon as possible.

Is there an update on availability of Now TV Ultra Boost yet?

Like OP, I have a device that's compatible with Ultra Boost already, so would like to benefit from this service now it's available.

And related - when will 4K/Ultra Boost be available via BT/EE TV boxes (and which hardware is required)?

Partial updates won't be posted - information will be shared when a release date is known

Now this makes sense as to why it's been a week since I upgraded and each time I check my Now TV account, it keeps telling me that I'm on the HD / Dolby 5.1 version and not 4K / Atmos! I have called them several times, and each time they tell me it'll be switched on, it isn't upgrading.

Who is ‘they’ in your posting?

*Longtime YouView box owner & broadband customer (was BT now EE), but only recently a full EETV subscriber*

when I spoke with BT web chat about UHD for Sky Sport last week they insisted all I needed to do was buy the 4K/UHD bolt on for TV and it would enable Now UltraBoost. Even sharing text directly from the NowTV website didn't do much to change their mind.

Possible @taichihass had a similar experience

Sorry for the poor experience @Whitzend123 @taichihass - there is clearly confusion with our agents about the 4K/UHD add on, which only provides 4K access to the TNT Sports channels, not the Sky channels.
