I've just seen the Summer Sport that is coming up on TNT.For me there appears to be nothing of much interest (no Cricket,Golf or Football ).
I have the Big Sport Package so I am wondering if it is possible to opt out of TNT Sport for June,July and August but retain Sky Sports for that period.
A couple of things - First could I be wrong about Cricket or Football not being available on TNT through Summer?Secondly,I suspect that to try to drop TNT for the Summer and then restart the Big Sport Package after 3 Months might be more hassle than it's worth, even if possible.
Any suggestions if this is worth persuing?

Do you have any discounts on your current Big Sport subscription? You would lose them if you switch package. How long left do you have on your TV contract?
As @zulu17 rightly points out, you would need to retain at least one TV package to avoid cancellation charges, so you could swap to the current cheapest (Entertainment for example), and then add Sky Sports on a monthly contract, but all that gives you is additional content you may not be interested in and a cost likely to be close to what you were paying for Big Sport.
Easiest thing to do is nothing.

Unfortunately there isn't an EETV Package you could switch to for solely Sky Sports, with the only packages being Sport which is just TNT Sports, or Big Sport which is both TNT and Sky Sports.
If there were such a package available, then this is something you would be able to do as you can swap month by month up and down through the available packages, but unfortunately there just isn't a package to suit.

Historically TNT Sports have covered some Ireland home series Cricket games and the USA Major League Cricket during the summer - although I am unclear as to whether they have retained those rights.

Can you not just cancel big sport and add sky sports as an add on ?

@Deano1711 Yes an addon for Now sports membership exist but @graybag would still need to have a EETV base package to move to from Big Sport.

Thanks @stereohaven , I think you have confirmed for me that currently there is no easy solution that saves me money.
I have no Discounts for my Big Sport Subscription but neither do I have any interest in the Entertainment Pack so I'll continue as I am for now.
Looking ahead to the next Winter Schedule of TNT I feel there may be less for me (not much interest in "Eurosport" - type offerings of Tennis,Cycling,Motosports ) but the European Football has been terrific this Year (luckily I have Amazon Prime who had some amazing Matches with British Teams also) so provided that continues I'll stick with Big Sport (although Premier League Matches covered no longer rival Sky for Quantity).
Thanks for everyone's suggestions,much appreciated.
Just an afterthought - If I eventually discontinue TNT Sports the suggestion is that there is no way to continue with Sky Sports in EPG (to continue Recording) - is that so?

Yes, that is correct.
Every scenario requires at least one main EE TV pack in place as a base subscription.
For next season, Sky Sports has more Premier League games than ever and TNT gets the FA cup I believe.
