Accessing TNT sport via Sky Q box

Hi

I've got the TNT sports add-on with my EE Sim deal.  I've been able to access TNT Sport via the discoveryplus app on my phone and tablet.  I can also access it with the discoveryplus account I've created on a PC.  But I've been unable to log on to the Discovery plus app on my Sky box.  When I plug in the email address I used to create my discovery plus account I get the message that it is not recognised.

Is it possible to access the Discovery plus app on Sky when my contract is via EE?  Or am I wasting my time?  Needless to say, I've been unable to actually talk to anyone at Sky...

thanks

You should be able to sign into the Discovery+ app on your Sky Q Box in the same way that you do on other devices, potentially the software needs updated on the box? Not overly familiar with Sky equipment to know if that is something that could cause it.

Yes you can log in and use the discovery+ app on your Sky box even when you pay someone else, I have done it, but I have EE TV.

I have to admit, I find the options when you have it as a mobile add-on more confusing. You used to need to have a ‘large screen’ add-on as well, but I don’t know if that is still the case?

The list here suggests that supported devices are limited, but I don’t know if it is correct: https://ee.co.uk/help/tv-sport/tnt-sports/tnt-sports-on-discovery-plus-app

Thanks.  From what I've read, out of date software could be an issue but I've checked and I'm up to date.

Thanks.  I've seen some discussion of this in the context of using EE TV so I would be more confident if I had EE TV, but I don't.  It's strange because when I go to apps on my Sky Box I can see apps like YouTube which I can access and use, but the Discoveryplus app is there and when I click on it I'm asked for my email and it doesn't recognise it.

The workaround I used last night was to log on to discoveryplus to get TNT sport on my laptop and connect the laptop to my TV.  Clunky, but I can at least watch games on a large screen.

I'm afraid this might not be hugely helpful in that I don't know the solution, but it is 100% possible to use the Discovery+ app on the SkyQ box to watch TNT Sport - I regularly do this myself. Do you have a multiroom box? Maybe try to sign in on that as when I use it I've had to sign in on both boxes separately.
