Ordered an eSIM

Meadus

Ordered an eSIM for my business phone by contacting EE via phone.
The idea was to use my personal number and my business number in the same phone, one with a physical sim and one with an eSIM.

Received a text to my personal number stating an eSIM had been ordered! Phoned them back and told them, no, I didn’t ask for this, I wanted an eSIM for my business number. They assured me this was cancelled and rectified.
The next day I loose network connection to both numbers! Can’t make or receive any calls, can’t even phone ee to sort it out. Absolute joke! Had to borrow a phone to call them, they said numbers have both been converted to eSIM but I can’t access either of them as they haven’t sent me any qr code or any information?? Loosing my patience as I need my phone for my business.

Hi there @Meadus

Thanks for checking this for me and understand how frustrating this is for you when you need the phone for your business.

To get this looked into, you would need to get in touch with us from any other phone or if you have an EE Store near you, if you pop in with photo ID they can look into getting a replacement SIM or eSIM set up for you.

Hi there @Meadus

Thanks for coming to the community.

I am sorry this has happened to both numbers, have you tried logging into your EE app or EE account online for both accounts and checking if the eSIM is showing ready to download?

Our Set up and use an eSIM page has details on downloading the eSIM.

Let me know how you get on 🙂

Leanne.

Nothing showing any information for an eSIM when I log into my account online.
I’ve had no phone lines for 2 days now. It’s affecting my business and I’m really not happy with the incompetence of EE. Literally have done the very thing I asked them not to do and changed this number to the eSIM. Not even sent me any information or instructions on how to access or activate it??
I need these numbers active today or I’m cancelling contracts on geounds I can’t access them, and changing to a mobile provider that can actually function.

I had a similar experience, phone got broken having the back glass replaced and i was off to Vegas in a few days, intending to buy a new phone their but they are esim only in the US.

Firstly they only send esim by post which is ridiculous and defeats the object of an esim, every other provider just sends you an email with a QR code.

It never arrived in time but i had a US number and back up of the wifes phone, a few days in the wifes phone stops working, turns out they had sent an esim for the wrong number on our account.

EE quality seems to have got worse and worse and given its business account im not impressed, called this morning for a data sim for the new ipad which i got in the US while getting the phone and same again, needs to be posted so i ended up going online and getting one in five mins from another vendor.
