iPhone replying to texts by itself

Hi, my iPhone has replied to a couple of text recently seemingly all by itself.  I hadn’t even opened the iMessages myself, I’d just seen the notification so knew I’d had one.  When I went to reply, one had already been sent, and not from me. Also, the message was not what I’d say either. 
I’ve just changed Apple ID password as can only think it’s been hacked, but no other devices apart from mine were showing as logged in.

If this happens again, can you try backing up all your data and completing a factory reset to see if this helps?

Spoke to Apple and they said it could be an auto iMessage, something to do with latest update 🤷‍♀️. They can’t see any odd activity and neither could EE on my sim…..just odd.

@Fionahb  It would only auto reply if you had set this up via focus mode.  Please have a read of THIS   

You also might want to check if you have changed to a focus mode on your device.

Thanks for this, but as both texts the phone sent were different and made sense in reply to the person message, I don’t think this is the issue.
