EE mobile number  claiming to be from bank fraud saying  £200 on my Amazon account                                              plus £300 spent abroad. Press #1 to authorise this or press #2 to tall to a supervisor about this.

EE needs to block these dangerous scam numbers as this call came from Manchester so is a UK user!

[Please do not post phone numbers in this public forum. Thanks]

Hi @james5001234,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you've received a phishing call.

The number that called was likely spoofed by the caller and could be a genuine mobile number. I've removed it from your post to protect the genuine owner.

Please see Prevent scams including phishing, vishing and smishing for some tips on staying safe from phishing.

Hope this helps.

James

Hi @james5001234,

It's unlikely you'll receive another call from the same number. Scam callers tend to change the number they are using fraudulently on a regular basis.

I understand it can be very frustrating.

James
