Scam call?

Hi. My partner received a call from this number 020 8132 7025, he said it was EE some guy offering discounts etc. I don’t actually know how much information he gave him but I’m the account holder I pay for mine and my partners contract. Would they even be calling him to discuss that? He said he was receiving verification codes from ‘EE’ on his texts and when scrolling on the chat going up you can see there are the usual previous texts from EE about promotional offers etc so they appear to have come from EE but something just doesn’t feel right

@Caitlandaviess    Scam.      He was getting codes that the scammer as hoping you’ll give so the scammers can gain access to the account.    The codes are from EE as the scammer was trying to gain access to the account,

 change your EE account password asap.    If he gave a code to the scammer inform your bank also.  Phone numbers can help scammers get your banking information.
