Just had a call from above number, bit like one a couple of weeks ago. So I cut them off.  Offering to cut my phone monthly bill but not losing any of my benefits. Getting rather fed up with it. I know I am out of contract with EE so it does at first sound realistic.  EE need to say they will only contact by mail.

We do have partner companies who will contact customers with offers. That number isn't on our list of EE partners though.

How hard would it be for customers to give you a safe name for phone call interaction?

”You: Good afternoon, I am calling you from EE to offer you something.

Me; What is my safe word?

You: Napoleon

Me: okay what are you offering me?”
