I received a call from 01942 901395 a day after I bought a sim from EE. My marketing preferences were just emails. They had my personal details, I tought this was my EE sim order, however they were trying to sell another sim package. And it was easy to misunderstood about current order. A text came from EE and I join in a screen session, (I trusted, because the text direcly come from EE). Then I realised, this is a different product, however I am afraid I approved the basket. Shame on you EE for sharing my details with scammers and violating marketing regulations.

Hi @ancd75,
Welcome to the Community!
It looks like the number that called you is for one of our partner companies, Interact, who may reach out from time to time about additional products and services that you may be eligible for.
If you would rather not receive these calls then we can absolutely check your marketing preferences, so that this doesn't happen again moving forward, if you give us a call.
If you would like to go ahead and cancel the additional SIM then we can absolutely do this, as we don't want you to be left worrying about paying for a product you do not want. You will have 14 days to do this, and you won't be charged.

Dear Rach,
Thank you gor the reply. My marketing preferences was just emails, and your costumer service confirmed this. Despite that, I received this call. Your third party tried to sell a second sim, a day after I ordered a necessary sim for me. And obviously I was misdirected. That was a bad intention. And why I am dealing with all of this? Now, I have to contact with them, and return the post. This was absolutely headache and time-consuming for costumer.
-First, EE violated marketing preferences.
-Secondly, your third party misdirected me.
EE should stop this...

Thanks for sharing all of those details @ancd75.
I'm confident if your marketing preferences are all up to date you won't receive any further calls like this, but I totally get why you're not happy with how this played out.
As this is just a SIM we should be able to get it cancelled off immediately though, have you reached out to our dedicated returns team about this yet?

Hi Peter,
Unfortunately, I have received 2 Sims. One of them the sim I wanted, one of them is the sent by your scam 3rd party. I am not sure which one is the sim I wanted. I also use PAX code to keep my number. Now I have 2 sim, and I don't know the correct one. I had terrible experience with EE. Really terible. !!! And it is nearly impossible to contact cistomer service!

I ordered a broadban from EE, then I ordered a SIM from EE. A day after I received a call from your third party, I thought that was related my SIM order, but I was misdirected and they sent a second SIM. Please note my marketing preferences were emails, depite this EE shared my details these people and I received a call, and I am in trouble now. Now, both sim arrived on same day. But I am not sure which one is my correct SIM. I also use a PAX code to keep my number, but I need to learn which package cointains my correct SIM. And also I want to cancel the second one. I typed to your app's helpline yesterday, no response. I have been waiting more than hour today, still no response. Can somedody help me?
