This morning a received a text regarding my rewards. I followed the link to what looked like a very genuine EE website.

please be careful.

I had exactly same thing and clicked the link too - it looked very real/ genuine …. I was looking forward to my 12,000 massage chair or a Dyson. 🙈

Must be nice to be so righteous … if it was so obvious people wouldn’t get caught out

Yes i had this today, from a different number and different link, i fell for it, when you select your fake reward you get taken to a screen to pay for postage of it and that's where they harvest the card details from, when  i put all mine in, nothing happened as in a checkout completion, it just refreshed to a blank page with a spinning icon. I'm normally quite savvy but this one slipped right through, it wasn't until i tried the link via laptop that chrome security flagged it as phising and unsafe so i immediately reported my card as stolen to the bank, and will check for any unfamiar transactions whilst awaiting my replacement card.

But this was a sophisticated con, no spelling errors no obvious signs it wasn't legit. Annoyed with myself for falling for it

Thanks for sharing your experience here, @sbarrett.

I'm glad to hear that you managed to get things sorted with your bank right away, as I appreciate it must have been really worrying.

If at any point you shared any of your EE account details, I'd recommend resetting your password at myaccount.ee.co.uk, and also giving our team a call so we can make sure your account is secure at our end.

I don't think i did put in login details but cannot be certain, i have changed my password in any case and set up MFA so should hopefully cover it

Can someone tell me if EE is giving rewards point and prizes? Or is it a scam?is

@aless1 : No, It's a scam! There are many of these going the rounds. EE would never send you a msg asking you to click on a link in order to access your a/c.

Does it have a link in it that it tells you to click? Don't go there but what was the link?
