good evening, i have an iphone 14 and use it not only for personal use but as my work number (self employed) however i  decided to get another sim card with new number  to put in my iPhone so it would only be used as my personal phone and put the original sim card out of my phone into a iphone 12 and use only as work phone. when sim arrived i opened my iphone 14 to find no sim card, thinking it was jammed in there i tried to no avail to retrieve it, yessss as you probably know and after a bloody day of wondering i eventually sought help,  only to find out the iPhone 14 has a E sim. so i phoned ee and had a sim card sent out with the original number. this is where my problem starts.

Putting the original phone sim (new sim sent from ee) in my iphone 12 and the new number (sim) into my iphone 14 i now find that if you phone either number it goes to the iphone 14. my iphone12 with what was the original number wich ee has sent new sim for does not work at all (i am not connected to my  phone and data)

Can anyone help resolve my problem which is block my original number from ringing on what is now my personal phone and getting the new sim with original number to work in my iphone 12. (hope this makes sense guys)

thank you in advance for any help / suggestions you may have

Hi @JACKA1

Welcome to the community.

How long ago did the SIM swap take place from the eSIM to a physical SIM? Have you tried restarting both devices?

UK-spec iPhones have physical SIM support as well as electronic SIM option.
