The same question was posed in https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/SIM-cards-Porting/eSIM-or-physical-Sim/m-p/1340842 quite recently.

The one clear benefit is where a phone has a physical & eSIM slot, and you want to use two SIMs. One has to be electronic. The benefits are unclear otherwise, but eSIM's present a few challenges.

@nicklvh  There’s no benefit except having 2 numbers on one phone but if you don’t need two numbers then don’t switch to esim..  if you break the device you can just take the sim out and put it in a different phone. It’s not that simple with an eSIM

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

the thing i was thinking about is that if someone steals the phone they can just take the sim out with a physical one therefore turning find my completely off because i have no more data. with an esim they couldnt do that and find my iphone would be on
