hi iv lost my phone (inc sim) if i were to purchase a new sim could my number and credit be transferred over

You shouldn't have done that if you want the same no. & credit. That's what a replacement SIM is for & which the the store should've given you. Now you'll still have to call CS to transfer them over.

If you take photo identification in to an EE store they should be able to sort this for you.

it is only showing me 2 ee stores which are both closed, it is also past standard opening hours and when i saw those numbers on the site it said they were available 24hr, is there no 24hr help available at all?

You need to call CS to report the loss & they will block it & send you a replacement SIM with the same no. to your UK addy.
