Hi I've just broken my phone and brought a new one but have discovered it had an e sim rather than a physical one

how do I get a new e sim with the same details as before

@stevesimm  if you call customer services they can remotely enable the eSIM on your new device or alternatively you can go to an EE store and request a replacement Sim, you need in date photo ID with you. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
