activate a sim

I bought a sim card and it's not activated yet (I need it for my next visit in UK). I searched the EE page and I just can't find any prompts to activate the sim card, when you already have a number. All I can find are options to buy a sim card.

Any advice will be appreciated!

@Elizabeth75  It’ll only activate when you’re in the UK.  It can not activate on a roaming network.

So far I've always bought a pre-loaded card at the airport, so it worked as soon as I activated it on my phone... but now I only have a sim card, so I'm a bit curious 😉
