Hi- I’ve switched mobile from BT to EE and keeping my existing number. The new SIM was inserted yesterday with instructions to switch phone on and off and that would be it all set up. 36 hours later I still cannot receive or make calls. I have signal and a network connection- iMessage and texts work as does FaceTime, WhatsApp etc The number is visible on my new contract information on the EE app and my phone settings are showing the number too.. I’ve checked the SIM, turned on and off multiple times - any ideas?

Hi @s2will
Welcome to the community.
Is your BT SIM still active? Have you checked for any carrier settings updates?
Update your network provider settings manually on your iPhone or iPad – Apple Support (UK)

The SIM would have had a temporary number initially, with port-in afterwards. If you first inserted the SIM on Monday 13th daytime, the PAC would usually have been submitted the same day with port-in on Tuesday 14th.
Have you received any texts confirming timescales and/or completion of the port?

Thank you - all sorted! Spoke to an adviser. It was an incorrect set up at EE end! Box ticked for data only SIM which was incorrect. All sorted now and I can make and receive calls as normal.
