Received new phone - how do I transfer number over

Hi,

I received my new phone today and it has come with a new EE number however I have requested for my number to be transferred over from 3. When I ordered the phone I gave EE the PAC code to sort this out for me. I’m assuming this EE number is only temporary while they switch my number over? Do you know how long this will take?

Thank you - is it safe at this point for me to discard the old SIM with my old number that will be transferring over? Just I have a deadline date from EE for the 19th November to hand my old phone back. Just cautious that I won’t be able to see any texts/calls that people may try to make to me until EE switch my number on my new phone.

Hi,

need urgent action as 3 have just text me saying my PAC code will be expiring in the next few days. EE still haven’t transferred my number over can this please be done asap and can someone contact me to let me know this is done?

No one will contact you from this user discussion group other than thro' the medium of these forums by posts such as this. Anyway we haven't the faintest idea who you are.

If you've already given you PAC to EE it should be acted upon.

Hi @JCollingwood,

When did you receive your EE phone?

When did you provide your PAC code to start your number transfer?

Thanks

James

Hi James,

Just got my phone today.

PAC code was given to me on the 14th October and I gave it to EE same day when I ordered the phone.

Well, EE have 4 days to port your no. before PAC expires. Plenty of time!

Hi @JCollingwood,

I would keep your existing SIM in your old phone until your number transfer completes, so you don't miss any calls or texts.

James

Thanks James,

who do I contact if the number transfer doesn’t happen before the 12th?
