how to add old ee sim card to new ee account?

Good morning, I'm trying to transfer a number on EE to a new contract on EE.

My old number is now PAYG but has only been transferred to PAYG for 24hrs, how long do I have to wait untill I can transfer this number onto my new PM SIM card? 

Iv already called this morning and they said it's not possible.

Have you used your number since the switch to activate your pay as you go account?
