New Phone Not Working After Apparent Transfer

I've got the same problem as am a new ee customer and I did the looking into swapping my Vodafone phone number to new ee sim card but the new number still comes up as my new number to folk please help me

Welcome to the EE Community

If I understand correctly your EE SIM is working and allowing you to call and text but its still showing the temporary number when you call and text and not the number you transferred from Vodafone? 

Which number does it reply with when you text NUMBER to 150? It is possible the number has actually transferred to the SIM but the temporary number is saved into the phone settings and needs updating.

If you have an iPhone have you checked to update the number in  Settings> Phone> My number. You would also need to check to update it in Settings> iMessage and Settings> Facetime as well.

If you have an Android you may need to update the number you have saved for RCS chat by going to Message> Message Settings> RCS chats.
