Porting old number issue

Hello everyone 

I have transferred over to EE from Lyca. 
EE sent me a new sim. 
I followed all the porting steps and entered the PAC code from Lyca etc. I was told the port would take place on the 2nd, but I haven’t had a text yet to confirm it has happened. When I put my old sim in it doesn’t work. 

To log on to this forum I had to enter my mobile number to get a 2 step sign in. I entered my old Lyca number and it worked ! 

However when I try to change my phone number in the phone settings of the I phone it won’t let me. 

Also I just checked with my sister and when I text her it shows my new number. When she texts my old number it doesn’t come through. 

I’ve tried turning on and off. 

Please help me get  up 
and running with my old number.

It sounds like iMessage and Facetime haven't updated the number yet but the port has went through. The fact that the Two Step Verification worked indicates that normal SMS texts are coming through.

What happens if you try to call the number that you have ported across or if you call someone else what number comes up?
