Porting Number

Hello. I have a 24 month contract with EE and I’ve just got one with o2. I have dual SIM in my phone. I want o2 to be my main SIM so I have successfully ported my EE number to o2.

I was hoping to get a new number for my EE. I got a text saying I owe 700 for the contract. I probably should have looked into this further. I don’t want to leave EE. I wanna keep my contract and unlimited data. Is there any way to do this?

What was the outcome? Did you manage to resume your EE contract & avoid the leaving fee?

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

The lady cancelled the port. So I will use my current number on EE and use the o2 for data as I can get a better 5G signal out and about. Gonna wait 6 months and get the iPhone 14 PM I think.

So you hadn't actually completed the port from EE to O2, just that EE had told you they would be charging you £700 to leave early?

Yeah. The date I was given was 1/11/22.
