Hello. I have a 24 month contract with EE and I’ve just got one with o2. I have dual SIM in my phone. I want o2 to be my main SIM so I have successfully ported my EE number to o2.
I was hoping to get a new number for my EE. I got a text saying I owe 700 for the contract. I probably should have looked into this further. I don’t want to leave EE. I wanna keep my contract and unlimited data. Is there any way to do this?

@Kingdom7 by moving your number away from EE you have closed your account, which will result in paying off that contract.. you can not retain that contract with a different number.

So is there absolutely nothing I can do?

If you ordered by phone or online from O2 you always have a statutory cooling-off period up to 14 days after delivery to cancel your order FoC. If you ordered in-store you have no such "change-of-mind" right of return. You could port you no. via PAC from O2 back to EE but there is no way you can resume your original EE contract & get back the termination fee.

@Kingdom7 unfortunately there is nothing at all that can be done.

The port isn’t due to be completed until 1/11/22. I have emailed o2 and asked to cancel. I hope they can do it in time.

@Kingdom7 I would ring 202 from your O2 sim in the morning to make sure your port in request has been cancelled.
