Orange PUK Code

Greetings,

I recently found my old Nokia phone and would like to access the contacts/messages. Unfortunately, it is requesting a PUK code to unlock the SIM card. It was on the Orange network (which is now EE I believe) and I still have the original large card it came with and the SIM card itself, but I don't have the PUK code.

Would EE be able to provide me with the PUK code? I don't need it to be reactivated or anything as I don't plan on using it for calls again.

Thanks for clarifying @bookedsam. If it is an Orange SIM the PUK code information will no longer be stored, so if the SIM is locked and the contacts are stored on the SIM there wont really be a way to retrieve them unfortunately.

Hi @bookedsam

Orange merged into EE several years ago, with old Orange SIM cards being redundant soon after, so the PUK codes for Orange SIM cards are no longer available.

Have you tried removing the SIM card from the phone first then switching it on?
Depends how old it it you may even be able to try an EE SIM in the phone if you did want to use it.

The phone switches on without a SIM card but its a Nokia 3310e so it won't let me access the phone book or anything. I did try an EE SIM card however the contacts and messages weren't there; apparently they are stored on the card itself. I have the original box and the plastic card that the SIM card came out of but I don't see a PUK code anywhere: just IMEI, Item, ICCID and a barcode on the plastic card.
