Old Number

Hello, I have a problem a few years ago I was a Lyca Mobile customer and I changed my operator to EE
At the time I entered my PAC code and kept my old number and have been with EE for a few years now
Now I couldn't do an upgrade of my plan because no such plan exists anymore, so I bought a new plan and there I see a new phone number.
I don't want a new number, my office, colleagues, friends have my old phone number.
What should I do to continue using my number?
On the EE website it says "if you want to port your number to EE", well, I've been here for a few years, so what do I have to port?
Is there no other way to update it?
After all, I don't have an account with Lyca Mobile any more, what am I supposed to do.
I can now see two phone numbers in the "My Account" section of EE, which is amazing.

You can't port to the same network.

EE won't port nos between its contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You could alternatively move your old contract to PAYG with 30 days notice & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.
