I have taken out a contract with ee but the coverage is really bad.. so I was going g to keep paying contract but put a new sim in and want to keep my number.. I requested a pac code but they think I’m leaving and want 1200

Welcome to the community,

That is exactly what a PAC code is used for, to move your number to another network, therefore closing your account and you will then have to pay the remainder of your minimum term, that is how PAC codes work.
